1.  Publicly, I viewed Ms.Katie Sawyer of Parkway District School's teacher bio and daily schedule. Her bio consists of information about her and her knowledge. Her daily schedule gave a detailed look into what her class will be doing at certain times of the day. This information gave me insight as to how she teaches and what her standards for teaching are.  2. I envision myself using technology to accomplish my professional responsibilities more efficiently and effectively. I intend on using technology to aid in my everyday communication amongst faculty and students, manage my time, and to quickly complete lesson plans. Resources such as Google Workspace, Google Mail, and Google Calendar can help me with this. This will allow me to optimize my professional responsibilities and enhance my technological educational skills while efficiently managing my time.  3. My experience with working on Canvas for Assignment 2 was excellent. I enjoyed utilizing a resource I am familiar...

My initial  experience with using Diigo did not go as well as I had hoped. I personally do not like using Diigo because it is confusing to me. The reason I do not like it is because I am not familiar with this type of platform. However, I feel as though the more I use Diigo and become familiar with this platform I will grow to like it.       My experience with blogging has gone well. I actually enjoy blogging because I feel I can freely express my opinion and it is more fun to use than Word for assignments. During the blogging process, I have learned how to use the website and have become comfortable with using it and I have learned there are other alternatives for assignments and such.       An interesting tool I recently came across is Mentimeter. Mentimeter allows educators to create dynamic presentations and quizzes. This allows students and teachers to interact with one another through presentations and quiz...

I have interacted with classmates on Twitter. I have found it beneficial in that I can ask them questions about assignments or just have them as support. I am able to use Twitter as a social interaction with other students I am unable to meet with in person. Twitter will be helpful in my future career by providing me with networking opportunities  and and providing feedback from other users.      The digital divide is the gap between those who use technology and those who do not. It affects student success in schools by being able to access information, learning resources, allowing them to collaborate with other students, online learning, and homework or projects that require research. Causes of digital divide include economic status, location, lack of technological skills, and funding. As a teacher, I may experience kids with very little access to technology or those are very familiar with it. I will have to be aware of what each of my stude...

The grade level I chose was K-2. The standard I chose was communication and collaboration. This standard requires identification of digital tools that can be used for communication, knowing how to perform keyword searches, exchanging information with other teachers or students, and giving and receiving criticism  on collaborative projects. I feel mostly prepared to implement this standard based on my current skill set because I am familiar with most of these tasks, as I work within a school system. However, I do feel it is needed to brush up on these skills. I feel as though one can never fully know everything about technology, since it is forever changing.       I selected Kindergarten and the subject english language arts. The related resource is lesson plans. The resource can be used in my teaching by planning ahead to carefully help students succeed in this assignment. In the lesson, sequential story tellers, the students will l...
